ABOUT US
Pinx hair salon began when Lisa Fletcher was 19 years old in 2001.
She trained in a busy town salon in Wakefield, in which she entered and won hair competitions and qualified up to a level 3. With help from princes trust she drew up a business plan accessed a grant and started renting a small room in a gym... her business expanded and Lisa now has a salon in a building called The Roundhouse situated on Queen Street, in Horbury, Wakefield.

Clients often comment on how ‘home from home’ they feel from walking through the door...
and feel comfort, ease and somewhere to switch off and just relax.

Lisa
Hi I'm Lisa, the crazy mind behind PINX.
I am the salon owner & hair magician. I set up PINX at 19 years old as a young, ambitious, creative hairdresser who still strives to thrive, and provide a 'home from home' professional experience whilst in our care.
I have a team of educated, creative, experienced and friendly stylists, Betty and our very own ambitious apprentice hairdresser Kara. I am very passionate about educating & training myself & my team, to enable us to provide you with all the latest techniques, fashion & products.
As well as having years of experience & education, I have also created my own PINX purity product line which is sulphate & parabon free and is stocked here in the salon. PINX purity is used & loved not only by us, but by all our wonderful clients.
I also have a passion for Avant Guarde hairdressing of which my 'Ice Queen' collection is displayed around the salon & was published in the global hair magazine, Hairdressers journal.
I pride myself in providing a safe space. I would also like to welcome old & new clients!
love Lisa xXx
Betty
Hi I'm Betty, and I have been in the Hairdressing industry for 11 years! Starting from a Saturday girl, leaving school and going into an apprenticeship as a junior stylist to qualifying in my level 2, level 3 and barbering moving up to being a stylist.

After being at my previous salon for 9 years, I felt it was time for a change to enable me to further develop my hairdressing skills. Fast forward 2 years, I am now at PINX & have become a Balayage specialist as well as becoming qualified in tape hair extensions.
There is nothing more I love than creating gorgeous different hairstyles on all my lovely clients. Not just that but building new relationships over time & making you all feel beautiful & pretty.
I may never look like this when you see me in my crazy work mode but it's always good to show my face behind the method in my madness. As well as introducing myself I would like nothing more than to welcome new clients into the salon!

Lots of love Betty xx

Kara
Hi I'm Kara, As a junior apprentice here at PINX, I am currently training in my level 2 hairdressing at Phillips hair academy 1 day a week, followed by 4 days here at PINX. I have worked at PINX for nearly 2 years now and in this time I have grown and learnt so much from both Lisa, Betty and my college academy as a whole.

When I left school I decided to complete my first year of hairdressing at Castleford college doing cutting & styling which I successfully passed with a merit! I decided that hairdressing was the career for me, and I am currently progressing through my level 2 qualification training, with
in-house training from both Betty & Lisa.

Even though I am the junior stylist I interact well with all of our wonderful clients & I love speaking to each and every individual.

Thank you to everyone for making me feel more than just a junior stylist!
love Kara xx
